Rice is a cereal
There are more than 2,000 varieties of rice grown in the world today.
They are grouped into three basic types:
White:Lown in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. Good source of folate and manganese |

Red:Reduces and slows down plaque formation on artery walls caused by dietary cholesterol. |

Black/Purple:A kind of sticky rice, that gets its colour from the antioxydant extracts it contains (anthocyanin and tocols). |

Brown:A nutty-flavoured unrefined rice, with a high fibrer content and greater nutritional value than white rice. |

Low in fat and high in carbohydrates. Contains a range of important nutrients and is packed with vitamins and minerals. An excellent source of vitamins E and B, potassium and protein.
