Frequent questions
Slide it into the slot on the cooker base on the back of the unit.
Slide it out and hand‐wash after each use.
No, only use the cooking bowl included with the appliance or a replacement one.
Cooking bowls from other brands are not guaranteed to be compatible with the Multicook Actifry.
To open the lid, push the button on the front of the lid, then pull the lid open by using the side handle on the side.
You can use 2 positions in the bowl:
- upper position (with the paddle in)
- lower position

Please refer to the recipes for the proper position.

Warning: Please note, do not use the stirring function while the tray is in lower position.
Make sure you find the arrow signs in the bowl and the ones on the tray, then match them up.
If your dish needs more time, switch to "Sauté" program and continue cooking with the lid open until the liquid is absorbed.
When cooking is complete, remove dishes from the tray. Then use silicone-tipped tongs to grab the centre handle and remove the tray from the appliance.
Due to the Multicook Actifry unique 2-in-1 design, the fan-related functions may take on a slightly different pitch. This is normal and is not an indication of product malfunction.
The lid gets hot during cooking, but the control panel, exterior handles, and handles on the lid will remain safe to touch at any time during cooking.

Airfryer related
• Air-fry: Cooks food quickly with hot air, delivering crispy, healthier results with little to no oil needed.
• Crispy Meal: Achieves dual-layer cooking with fixed 10 minutes heating from beneath for extra crispiness to the ingredients at the bottom of the bowl, followed by your chosen air-fry time.
• Steam & Crisp: 20 minutes of preheat & steaming followed by your chosen air-frying time. For flexibility on steaming time, use the steaming function.
• Grill: Intense heat from above to perfectly sear and brown your food.
• Roast/Bake: Operates like an oven for succulent roasts, delicious casseroles, and savoury vegetables.
• Bread: Function to bake perfectly risen loaves and rolls.
• Dehydrate: Harness multicook drying capability to preserve fruits, create jerky, and make crispy snacks with ease.

Multicook related
• Risotto: Use the specialised function for creamy, perfectly cooked risotto and other comforting rice dishes.
• Pasta: A dedicated function for quick and convenient pasta cooking.
• Saute: Enjoy the freedom of manual mode, setting your own temperature and time for rapid, hob-top style cooking.
• Slow Cook: Gently cooks meals over a Long period for tender, flavourful results.
• Steam: Steaming of vegetables, seafood, and more, preserving nutrients and flavours effectively.
• Yoghurt: Effortless homemade yoghurt, ensuring creamy results with ease.
• Reheat: Quickly warm up leftovers and meals evenly.

Cooking functions
• Keep Warm: Only available automatically on "Slow Cook", "Risotto" and "Reheat" programs. "Keep Warm" can be used manually on all cooking programs.
• Later meal:
- Type #1 extends the meal end time and is only available on "Slow Cook" program.
- Type #2 is a delayed start and can only be used on "Pasta" and "Steam" programs.
• Turn on the appliance.
• Use the arrow up and down to select the cooking program.
• Adjust the time and temperature as you prefer.
• Press Start button to launch the cooking process.
The paddle does not start turning until 10 minutes after the cooking has started.
Press the "Start/Stop" button or power button at any time during cooking to cancel a cooking program.
Yes, the bowl and the accessories are dishwasher safe. However, washing by hand is recommended.
If dishwashing, use mild detergents such as a pure liquid, gel or powder rather than the tablets or sachets as these can be very corrosive.
When you have finished your dishes, before cleaning:
• Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
• Do not touch the inner lid while it is hot.

Warning: Do not use water to clean the interior of the appliance body as it could damage the heat sensor.


Cleaning the bowl and the accessories
• Remove the paddle from the bowl to clean it.
• If food is stuck to the bottom of the bowl, pour some water into the bowl and leave to soak for a while before washing up.
• It is recommended to wash the the bowl and the accessories thoroughly after every use in hot soapy water.
• Dry off the cooking bowl and accessories thoroughly after each cleaning.


Cleaning the lid
IMPORTANT:
- It is recommended to clean the interior of the lid after each use to avoid hard stains which will become very difficult to remove.
- The lid and the seal should not be dismantled.
- It is recommended to avoid metallic and abrasive cleaning products.

• To clean any dirty residues around the seal, it is recommended to use food-safe sanitizing wipes, damp cloth or non-abrasive sponge with hot water.
• To clean the steam outlet, it is recommended to use a small bottle brush, dipped in a hot water.
• To clean off stains on the metallic ring of the hot plate:
1) Ensure the power is disconnected from the appliance.
2) Use a damp cloth to wipe the heater cover, applying a small amount of 1:20 citric acid water solution on the cloth (eg. 10ml citric acid : 200ml water).
3) Power on the machine and add 200ml of clean water to the bowl. Close the lid and use the "Steam" function for steam cleaning for 15 minutes.
4) Use a wet cloth to wipe away any remaining stains.
5) After cleaning, pour out the wastewater from the bowl and place the machine in a well-ventilated area to dry thoroughly before reconnecting it to power for use.
The bowl is not in the appliance or is not placed properly.
The lid is not closed properly during cooking.

There is no open lid alarm for the "Risotto", "Reheat", "Keep Warm", and "Sauté" programs.

Air-Fry programs:
All programs use the top heating element (air-fry lid).
In particular "Crispy Meal", "Steam & Crisp" and "Bread" use both top and bottom heating elements at different cooking stages (not simultaneously).

Multicook programs:
All programs use the bottom heating element only.
No, the cooking bowl cannot be used on the hob. it is designed only for use in the Multicook Actifry.
