  • Braising or casserole steak, cubed (250g – 2 people) (500g – 4 people) (750g – 6 people)

  • Peeled sliced carrots (1.5 cm chunks) (150g – 2 people) (300g – 4 people) (450g – 6 people)
  • Beef stock (75ml – 2 people) (75ml – 4 people) (125ml – 6 people)
  • Irish Stout (125ml – 2 people) (200ml – 4 people) (275ml – 6 people)
  • Dried bayleaf (1 – 2 people) (1 – 4 people) (2 – 6 people)
  • Sprigs of fresh thyme (2 – 2 people) (3 – 4 people) (4 – 6 people)
  • Sugar (¼ tsp – 2 people) (½ tsp – 4 people) (1 tsp – 6 people)

Cooking pressure = high

Add oil.

Brown meat and onion, in batches, if necessary.

Add all the remaining ingredients. Stir well to combine.

Remove bayleaf and thyme. Thicken with cornflower. SEASON AND SERVE!
