  • Sliced, quartered, fruit bread (1 slice – 2 people) (2 slices – 4 people) (3 slices – 6 people)
  • Softened butter (20g – 2 people) (40g – 4 people) (50g – 6 people)
  • Milk (100ml – 2 people) (200ml – 4 people) (300ml – 6 people)
  • Eggs (1/2 – 2 people) (1 – 4 people) (2 – 6 people)
  • Double cream (75ml – 2 people) (150ml – 4 people) (225ml – 6 people)
  • Vanilla extract (½ tsp – 2 people) (1 tsp – 4 people) (11/2 tsp – 6 people)
  • Brown sugar (for topping) (2 tsp – 2 people) (4 tsp – 4 people) (6 tsp – 6 people)

2 people = 15 min preparation and 30 min cooking time

6 people = 15 min preparation and 30 min cooking time

Cooking pressure = low

Butter bread and put into 8cm heatproof ramekins. Whisk remaining ingredients, except brown sugar. Pour over bread.

Cover with foil and secure with string. Put 2 to 4 ramekins into the steaming basket with 450 ml water in the bowl.

Sprinkle over sugar and brown under hot grill. SERVE!
